You have decided that the day has come to announce your desire to be with her for the rest of your lives. This day is so important that you do not want to go through it without proper planning and execution. Failure on this day can leave a scar for life.

Consider all the details that are possibly needed on that day. How will the program be like? Focus on the meal. Usually it’s a meal at a posh restaurant or a warm meal at your place or her place. The second and third choice would be less appropriate, since you will be proposing; the atmosphere should be as romantic as possible. Unless you have a posh house with a great stereo system pumped with romantic music, going to a good restaurant will be the better choice.

Location, location, location. This is very important, so bring her to the best restaurant you can find. The restaurant should have her favourite foods, and preferably violin players that can play music for the two of you. If you have planned it out this way, arrive at the restaurant one hour earlier than the time you are supposed to pick up. This is to tip the staff there early so that they will perform their best for you. Always tip early not later.

Make sure she is in a good mood all day. On this very important day, her moods matters the most. You might want to send her sweet text messages to keep her in a romantic mood. When you have arrived, order her favorites for all, and signal the violin players to perform. Ensure the environment is as beautiful as possible.

The climax of the event will be you suddenly kneeling down on one knee, and giving her the most important speech you will make in your life. You would have rehearsed sufficiently before the actual speech, so be calm and say what you meant to. It is alright if you “forget your lines” so long as the meanings are the same.
